Sometimes a Picture Alone Can Make You Feel Relaxed
February 1, 2008 |

Thinking of a Caribbean getaway? (Photo by Julia Pelish)
Dreaming of somewhere warm and sunny?
Me, too.
Maybe this photo will ease your suffering in the cold and rain (and whatever snow’s left over). I photographed it during a vacation to St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It’s a friendly island with exquisite beaches, including this one. Few people were on at this time of day, which made photographing and relaxing easy. The big ship in the distance is one of the many yachts and schooners that called St. Maarten home. There were also several cruiseliners that came into port for the cheap shopping, which is mostly centered around jewelry.
View my travel photo galleries and maybe you’ll spot something that makes you think of escape.
Hopefully we’ll get some sunshine this week (like the forecast claims).
